  • Minster 1 St. Henry 0, 11 inn. — The Minster baseball team broke through for its first Midwest Athletic Conference win of the spring in a marathon extra-inning pitcher’s duel. Minster’s Aaron Ernst and St. Henry’s Parker Link matched zeroes inning after inning before finally giving way to their bullpens. The two teams played 10 scoreless innings before the Wildcats finally pushed across the game’s only run in the top of the 11th inning when a wild pitch allowed Ernst to come home from third base. Minster’s pitching was masterful. Ernst started the game and put up nine scoreless, two-hit innings with eight strikeouts before giving way to Adam Knapke in extra innings, who earned the win. Knapke didn’t allow a hit and struck out one over two innings. Minster won despite collecting just three hits over 11 innings. Bryce Schmiesing doubled.
