By Jessica Honigford Community Post MINSTER – Minster youth will soon have a new club to teach them about cameras and photography.
Eugene Horowitz, owner of Remember Your Dreams, LLC is starting a camera club for children ages seven and up and their parents. The first meeting of the club will take place on Monday March 8 at 4 p.m. at the Francis J. Stallo Memorial Library in Minster. “It’s a way to give back to the community and to spread the knowledge that I have of almost 40 years of taking images to the kids of today and the adults,” Horowitz said. Horowitz will use the hour and a half long meeting to teach children basic photography skills such as how to use the camera and setting up shots. “I will teach them how to get the images they’ll treasure,” Horowitz said. If there is enough community response to the camera club, Horowitz hopes to have monthly meetings. “I also plan to do a spin off that caters to adults only,” he said. “I’m hoping when the weather breaks to do some photo walks around Minster and maybe New Bremen and the Lake Loramie State Park. Any children and parents interested in the photography club can sign up at the library. Any camera is acceptable for participation in the club. |
