Virgil E. “Bud” Bertke died on Friday, Feb. 1, 2008 at Hertiage Manor Nursing Center in Minster. He was 76 years old.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, with Rev. Harry Kavanaugh officiating. Calling hours are scheduled for 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home of Minster. Memorials may be donated to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
