Riley Grace McEldowney–Monnier was stillborn on March 1, 2008, at the Southview Medical Center in Dayton.

Her parents were Alexander Monnier and Lindsay McEldowney. Riley leaves behind her grandparents: Jerry and Peggy McEldowney of Wapakoneta, the late Dale and Carol Monnier of Minster and a step-grandfather, Tom Detwiler of Minster; as well as great-grandparents, Jerry McEldowney, Sr., of St. Marys, Vernon and Mirt Luedke of St. Marys, Mark and Joan Wenning of St. Henry and Rosella Monnier of Fort Loramie.
There was a private graveside service at Gethsemane Cemetery in St. Marys with Deacon John Schmiesing presiding. Hogenkamp Funeral Home of Minster handled the arrangements.
