Elmer F. Poeppelman, age 83, died on Friday, July 18, 2008, at his residence in New Bremen.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008, at Holy Redeemer Church in New Bremen, with Rev. Thomas Manabach officiating. Calling hours are from 1 to 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008, and from 9 to 10 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2008, at Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster. Memorials may be donated to Grand Lake Hospice and American Cancer Society.
