Richard E. Black, age 84, formerly of New Bremen, died on Friday, August 22, 2008, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 at 3 p.m. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen with Rev. Stephen Wills officiating. Burial will follow in the German Protestant Cemetery in New Bremen. Calling hours will be on Saturday, Aug. 30, 2008 from 1 p.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
