Richard B. Dirksen, formerly of Maria Stein, died on Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2008, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima. He was 72 years old.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Nicholas Church in Osgood, with Rev. David Zink officiating. Visiting hours are scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 31, 2008, from 2 to 8 p.m., and Monday, Sept. 1, 2008, from 9 to 10 a.m. at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie. Memorials may be donated to St. Peter's Center for Neurological Development or the charity of the donor's choice.
