It's poppy time once again and the American Legion Auxiliary has some new ways of promoting the event.

Polly Barga’s art class designed art work for Poppy Days to be on display at Western Ohio Hardware and Wagner’s IGA. A big thank you to Mrs. Barga and her class for their outstanding pictures.

This year the Auxiliary will be giving $500 of the donations it receives to the Make A Wish Fund. This fund focuses on the needs of our military personnel, young veterans and their families. Some of our military are living on welfare and food stamps. This money can help them with anu needs they have.

Ladies of the auxiliary will again be handing out poppies at Wagner’s and Western Ohio Hardware. Please take a poppy and give a donation to veterans and the men and women still fighting for freedom. Wear the poppy with pride.

Poppies will be distributed on Friday, May 18 and Saturday, May 19.

The group thanked businesses helping with veterans.
