Fifth Street Project Moving Forward

The village is moving forward with the improvements to Fifth Street from Garfield to Paris Streets and a portion of Pleasant Drive.

The resolution passed at the Tuesday, July 25 council meeting.Minster Village Administrator Don Harrod said he would send out estimat-ed assessments to home owners and will scheduled an open house for residents to ask questions about the project.

— The council also held a second reading of an ordinance that would replace four yield signs in Minster to stop signs at the corners of Garfield and Jackson, Webster and Third, Sixth and Ohio and Washington and Garfield.

— Council was able to look at plans for the new industrial park land and heard from Harrod that there is a potential buyer of a property within the industrial park. The business is an existing one in Minster that would move there.
