Minster hears odor complaint

MINSTER— An old problem was re-aired in the May 19 Minster Village Council meeting as the Council heard from resident Craig Sherman who reminded them of the smell emanating from the Dannone plant the previous weekend. In early January the Council had addressed the suspended solid waste material the yogurt plant sends to the village for wastewater treatment being over the limit and sludge hauled out by carriers employed by the company. “Offensive smells” from the most-recent incident were again the topic of discussion.
