Staff Writer

Looking for a place to enjoy a meal and fellowship on Thanksgiving, or maybe give back and volunteer? The 13th annual Thanksgiving Fellowship will take place Thursday, November 22, at the Minster K of C hall.

Started in 2005 by Deacon Roger Klosterman, the event has grown to serve over 500 people and provides attendees with a delicious home cooked Thanksgiving meal.  The doors open at 11 a.m., with a full Thanksgiving meal being served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Home delivery is available to the local area if needed. Local volunteers help provide the manpower for the event with  Mary Dahlinghaus and family  preparing the meal.

The event is free to the public. Sponsors for the event are Buschur Electric, Minster Bank, Larger Networks, Machine Concepts, Minster Dental Care, Raco Industries, Fox Supply and Garmann Miller. Advance reservations, by November 19th, are appreciated but not required.

— Garbage pick-up in Minster will go on as scheduled this Thanksgiving. Rumpke will keep its normal Thursday and Friday schedule for trash pick-up. Residents are asked to set their trash out the night before, as Rumpke will be going through the village earlier than normal this week.
