Jared Hoying, a graduate of Fort Loramie High School, has been added to the major league roster for the Toronto Blue Jays.
Outfielder Teoscar Hernandez of the Blue Jays has been placed on the paternity list, with Hoying selected to fill the spot on the team's roster.
Hoying, 32, throws right-handed and bats left-handed. He was drafted by Texas in the 10th round of the 2010 draft from the University of Toledo.
He made his major league debut in May of 2016. He played in 38 games in 2016 and 36 in 2017.
He was briefly with the Los Angeles Angels, and also played parts of three seasons in South Korea.
