On Jan. 11, the Minster board of education’s first meeting of 2021, Minster Elementary Principal Leanne Keller updated the board on the school’s first after school Science Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) program.

24 students, 12 third graders and 12 fourth graders, participated in the session ran by Wendi Moorman, Gifted Coordinator and Technology Integration Specialist with the Mercer County Educational Service Center (ESC).

Mercer County ESC had planned to offer the after-school STEM programs last spring but that got put on the backburner when everyone was sent home in the spring due to COVID-19.
