Marion Local volleyball’s Alana Pohlman signed her letter of intent to continue her volleyball career at Findlay on Nov. 11, wrapping up an impressive career for the Lady Flyers.
In three seasons of varsity action, Pohlman finished fifth in program history for career kills (689), eighth for kills in a single season (306), second for aces in a career (152) and third for blocks in a career (305) while being named to 1st team All-MAC and 1st team All-District the past two years as well as 2nd team All-Ohio Honors in 2019 and 1st team All-Ohio Honors this year.
Pohlman began playing volleyball in fifth grade.
“Basically, all my friends were doing it so I was like, ‘why not?’ said Pohlman. “At the time, Marion Local’s volleyball program was really good so it was just the thing to do.”
